At Moon's Taekwondo Academy, directions are given in
Korean and English so that our
students, particularly the newer students are
able to follow along easily.
The Korean words written on this page are
written in their English variant called
Romanisation. While there are different ways of
Romanising the Korean alphabet (Hangul), the
words as written below do not follow a
specific set of rules but are written so that it
approximates what our local students would
have the easiest time of pronouncing.
Moon's Tae Kwon Do
This is "Your" Time
There are two numerical systems used in Korea.
A pure Korean set and a Sino-Korean set. While
there are no hard or fast rules for which set gets
used, in our classes, general counting will
implement the pure Korean numbers while the
numbers associated with the Poomse are
assigned Sino-Korean numbers.
